REVAMPING PROCESSES AND COMPETENCIES OF EMPLOYEES WHO CREATE THE HUDO DOBRO BRAND

Operation title: REVAMPING PROCESSES AND COMPETENCIES OF EMPLOYEES WHO CREATE HUDO DOBRO TRADEMARK

Project duration: from 1 June 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Total value of the operation: 39,980.75 EUR

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Hudo dobro group was successful in the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities' public tender for companies for people with disabilities and employment centers with consultants for introducing more flexible work methods tailored to the needs of people with disabilities with the project Renovation of processes and competencies of employees who create the Hudo dobro brand.

The primary goal of the project is to upgrade the business model, which will maintain and create jobs for the most severely disabled workers. By implementing project activities, we aim to enable and maintain stable, high-quality, and healthy jobs for all employees in the organization, with a special focus on the needs of disabled employees, and to ensure the conditions for creating new such jobs for people with disabilities.

We focused on improving our organization's operations by expanding our activities into tourism, which significantly contributed to the diversification of our revenue streams.

This step reduced the risks associated with external factors and increased the value of our products. With the start of selling our products in Hiša gibanice, we have improved our business position and opened the door to new opportunities. Expanding our operations also brought new challenges, which we carefully addressed in order to overcome them successfully.

We conducted a thorough review of the business model and processes within the organization and optimized operations to ensure stable business and healthy market development. We have updated our internal acts, improved monitoring of legislative changes, and ensured compliance with legal requirements. At the same time, we introduced measures to optimize operations and adapt work processes, which increased the organization's efficiency and competitiveness. We also placed an important emphasis on motivating our employees for personal growth.

We encouraged them to acquire new skills through various educational and motivational programs, which helped them advance and better balance their professional and personal lives.

We wanted to ensure the conditions for creating new jobs for people with disabilities and the sensible introduction of changes in the organization’s business model. We also focused on building skills, knowledge, and competencies of all employees, especially employees with disabilities. The target groups of our project were: disabled employees, employees in the organization, employees' families, and the professional and general public.

The project was carried out in two phases:

  1. phase included an analysis of the business model, a review of the strategy, business plan, annual reports, communication practices, and digital solutions. Based on these analyses, we prepared measures to improve the business model and increase employee competencies.
  2. phase focused on the career development of disabled employees. We conducted individual interviews with them and prepared career plans that helped them direct their careers. Additionally, we introduced intergenerational cooperation and reverse mentoring, which was a method for developing the digital competencies of our employees.

Training and education were key parts of our project. We have prepared targeted training for all employees, especially for those who focused on balancing work and private life and increasing digital skills. We conducted training for employed people with disabilities, where we developed key skills such as analytical thinking, decision-making, communication, entrepreneurship, creativity, sustainable behavior, and cooperation.

We also conducted training for employers and mentors, focusing on workplace health and support for organizational changes. We eventually prepared a marketing plan for implementing the new business model in the market, in order to improve the organization's recognition and ensure its further development.

The project contributed to the improvement of the business model, better work-life balance for employees, and increased digital competencies. At the same time, we have created conditions for new jobs for people with disabilities, which is an important step towards an even more inclusive and fair society.

The project is funded by the European Union – Next GenerationEU through the Recovery and Resilience Facility. For more information about the Recovery and Resilience Plan, visit the website: https://www.gov.si/zbirke/projekti-in-programi/nacrt-za-okrevanje-in-odpornost/dokumenti/
